Zuckerberg “likes” this: Facebook chief finally gets Harvard degree

It’s no surprise it’s gone viral ... the founder of Facebook returning to the university he dropped out of to receive an honourary degree and speak to its new graduates. Mark Zuckerberg went to Harvard University in Massachusetts 13 years ago, but left early to launch his revolutionary online social network. The 33-year-old urged the graduates to help strengthen the global community and not worry about how small their first efforts may seem. “Change starts local,” said Zuckerberg. “Even global changes start small – with people like us. In our generation, the struggle of whether we connect more, whether we achieve our greatest opportunities comes down to this: your ability to build communities and create a world where every single person has a sense of purpose.” Zuckerberg is not the first famous dropout to return to the campus to address students; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates gvae a speech there in 2007.
