Local student represents SFA at Texas Academy of Sciences

Apr. 29—Students at Stephen F. Austin State University studying computer science, chemistry, biochemistry, earth sciences and geologic resources won a number of awards after presenting research at the Texas Academy of Sciences in March.

Allyssa Fisher, a biochemistry major from Rusk, earned a first place finish.

Fisher's presentation, "Analysis of Photochemical in Watercress Leaves" won in the biomedical sciences oral presentation competition.
