Car Fire in Carey Tunnel Halts Traffic

A car fire halted traffic towards Brooklyn in the Hugh Carey Tunnel in New York on Wednesday, November 21, the New York Department of Emergency Management said.

This was the second car fire that caused heavy delays in New York City on November 21, known to be one of the most difficult travel days each year. The first, on the Brooklyn Bridge, left one dead and at least five injured, according to media reports.
