    CCTV Shows Chainsaw Terror For Pub Punters

    CCTV pictures have been released showing the moment a man entered a pub brandishing a chainsaw.

    Dean Dinnen, 24, had been thrown out of the bar in Hull shortly beforehand for flouting the smoking ban.

    He returned with a petrol-powered chainsaw which he started up in front of the terrified onlookers.

    Punters managed to restrain him before armed police arrived to arrest him.

    Dinnen has since been jailed for three years.

        6years actually i nearly got done for it in September, i got beat up by 6people in a club for just sticking up for my gf, the bouncers new all involved and tried to throw me out for starting trouble when i got hit first! then my gf had a go at me for starting trouble on her bday although i dont blame her she was way to drunk! so i went home got one hid it and came back to try and get her out to come home. bearing in mind i have never been arrested and im 22 and was going university in a few days they gave me a caution. i would never do anything like that again i dunno that night i was so angry! but yea i agree 3years for a chainsaw ridiculous he should at least 8!!

        The chainsaw threatens to damage people with limited funds. The DVD piracy threatens to damage the wealth of the greedy. Surely the punishment has to fit the crime? I think I'll do some research into crimes and their standard punishment variance, could be interesting.
