Dannii Minogue lends Cheryl Cole support

(BANG) -

Dannii Minogue has sent Cheryl Cole her support in the wake of rumours that she has been axed from the 'US X Factor'.

The 39-year-old star - who was forced to quit her role on the UK 'X Factor' after scheduling clashes with 'Australia's Got Talent', of which she is also a panellist - thinks judging roles on TV talent shows need to come complete with a "lifejacket and drop down oxygen".

Writing on her twitter page, Dannii said: "Judging roles should come with a life jacket, drop down oxygen and a life raft!

"Sending #Channii love.(sic)"

Cheryl - who sat alongside show boss Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul on the judging panel of the US series - has reportedly been replaced by singer Nicole Scherzinger after TV executives became concerned about her "lack of chemistry" with Paula.

It was also suggested the 'Parachute' hitmaker's strong North East accent and the fact that she was missing the UK too much have come into play in the controversial decision.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It hasn't worked out. She's homesick and wants to return to the UK. She's had enough. Whether she ends up back on UK 'X Factor' is open to speculation."
