Four Men Guilty Of Shopkeeper's Stab Murder

Four men have been found guilty of murdering a shopkeeper during a robbery in Birmingham.

Suppiah Tharmaseelan, 48, was stabbed to death before his children's eyes at the Select Convenience Store on College Road, Kingstanding, last November.

The father of four's death was captured on CCTV.

Twin brothers Ian and John Meenan, both 27, along with Anthony Bayliss, 25, and his 19-year-old brother Liam Ryan were all convicted of killing Mr Tharmaseelan following a month-long trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

A fifth man, James Moore, 25, was cleared of the murder but will be sentenced later after admitting a charge of robbery.

The four killers face a mandatory life term in prison. Mr Justice Wyn Williams will sentence them at a later date.
