Halloween rave ‘planned in graveyard’

Halloween ravers are planning a “sick” party in a north London graveyard on Monday night, a council has warned.

Enfield council

confirmed that they had taken action over the planned event which had appeared on Facebook. Although there was no confirmed location for the “rave”, the council has put extra staff on duty to ensure the event does not go ahead.

Enfield council cabinet member for environment, Chris Bond, said: “These idiots are either too stupid or too insensitive to understand that going ahead with an illegal rave at a burial ground will be hugely offensive and upsetting to the relatives of the people buried there.

"We want all decent, law abiding residents living near our cemeteries to keep their eyes peeled for us and let us know if they spot anything suspicious going on,” he added.

“We are not going to stand by and let a gang of halfwits desecrate burial grounds in Enfield and if we catch anyone trying, we'll act quickly and then be pushing for the strongest possible sanction in the courts.”

Enfield council said it is working with the Metropolitan Police to prevent the Halloween “rave”.
