No Slacking: Wire Walker's 1,800m Canyon Stunt

A daredevil "slackline" walker has crossed China's Enshi Grand Canyon on a rope 1,800 metres (5,900ft) high and only two centimetres wide.

Dean Potter made the 40m (131ft) walk in Hubei Province in two minutes without any safety equipment and barefoot.

A "slackline" is considered more challenging than a conventional tightrope as the line is not completely taut, leaving it susceptible to bouncing and stretching.

Potter, 40, who grew up in New Hampshire in the US, is also a rock climber.
