Revealed: The "human fox hunting experience" coming to a field near you

A paintball company is offering anyone frustrated by the hunting ban the chance to fire at employees dressed in fox outfits.

UKPaintball has introduced a faux fox hunting game which sees players dress up in traditional hunting clothing and track an unlucky ‘fox’ as prey. In order to “maximize authenticity” only red bullets are used in a game which has been introduced to more than 50 outdoor centres across the country.

The firm claims the ban, introduced by parliament seven years ago to outlaw the hunting of foxes with dogs, saw many people “lose a hobby they loved” and the scheme has been devised “as realistically as possible”.

A UKPaintball spokesman said: “Participants will be able to hunt the ‘fox’ – who will be dressed in a full size outfit – and will be encouraged to take shots once within range.

“Obviously we will give the fox a head start but once the horn is sounded it’s every man for himself and the first one to land a shot on target will be crowned the winner.”

He added: “No animals get harmed and people still get the thrill of the chase so it really is a win-win situation.

“The more difficult part will be finding someone who will volunteer to be the fox, but we have a dedicated team here and I’m sure somebody will put themselves forward for the role”.
