Swann: England Must Not Get Carried Away

Graeme Swann says England must not let their status as the world's number one test team go to their heads.

England will have their place at the top of the world rankings confirmed after the series with India. They have the chance to complete a 4-0 test whitewash at The Oval this week.

Swann says England must continue to progress:

"We said before the series it didn't matter if we got to number one in the world. It's about finishing the series well and that is what we are aiming to do at The Oval."

The spinner claims losing the final test would take the shine off an outstanding couple of years:

"We have played some exceptional cricket in the last 18-24 months and it would be a shame if we ruined it all by cruising through this game so let's make it a really good five days and see what happens. It wouldn't be much of a team if we just fell to pieces and threw it all away."

Graeme Onions has been brought in for the fourth test with Chris Tremlett ruled out and James Anderson a fitness doubt.
