Ethiopian Israelis March Againt Racism in Tel Aviv
Hundreds of protesters led by Israeli Ethiopians set off from Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square on Sunday afternoon, May 3, to march against police brutality. Police told protesters to move elsewhere after they blocked junctions and major traffic arteries, including the Ayalon highway. Organisers said that they are protesting against discrimination suffered by Israeli Jews of Ethiopian descent.
The rally follows a similar protest in Jerusalem last week that turned violent
