‘There IS Alien Life Out There,’ Says NASA Chief

The head of NASA has admitted that he believes there is alien life out there - and that we will find it.

NASA administrator Charles Frank Bolden Jr said that if NASA’s current efforts to find life on Mars and elsewhere in the solar system fail, we will find it elsewhere.

'I do believe that we will someday find other forms of life or a form of life, if not in our solar system then in some of the other solar systems - the billions of solar systems in the universe,’ he told 10-year-old Carmen Dearing on Sky News.

The sheer number of distant planets discovered by telescopes such as Kepler mean that there are thousands - or even millions - of places where we could find life, Bolden believes.

‘Today we know that there are literally thousands, if not millions of other planets, many of which may be very similar to our own earth.

‘So some of us, many of us believe that we're going to find…evidence that there is life elsewhere in the universe.'

He also told his 10-year-old interviewer that he had ‘no doubt’ that the space agency would travel to Mars ‘within your lifetime.’
