Woman tattoos sleeve of 152 Facebook friends

Why have a photo of just one person tattooed on your arm when you can have most of your Facebook friend list?

As this video posted on YouTube shows, a brave woman from the Netherlands went through all the pain to have 152 photos of her most-treasured Facebook friends imprinted on her arm.

User Susyj87 in the video ‘My Social Tattoo’ visited a tattoo parlour in Rotterdam for a fortnight to document the tattoo’s progress.

During the 1.30 minute-long footage, the young Facebook fan is filmed having her right arm covered with the faces of her friends.

The video, uploaded seven days ago, begins showing the initial work that was done for preparation.

At the end of the painstaking footage, she reveals a tightly packed sleeve of 152 profile pictures, which are all finished in technicolour.

Susyj87 commented: “Pretty amazing right? I’m really proud of it. Hope you like it too!”

According to the YouTube post, the Dutch woman had asked all friends for permission to have their faces permanently tattooed on her arm beforehand.

The description on the viral video reads: “I got their permission and they were very proud to be on it. To me it represents who I am right now and the time we live in.”

Let’s hope she doesn’t unfriend any of them soon.

She is the latest person to devote part of her life to the social networking craze. In April, an Israeli couple named their new baby girl “Like” after the Facebook button.
