10th annual Ribble Valley pub walk raises over £31k for East Lancashire Hospice

East Lancashire Hospice celebrated a monumental success with their annual Ribble Valley Pub Walk that took place late last month.

On Saturday, June 22, East Lancashire Hospice marked a decade of their annual Ribble Valley Pub Walk, with this year's event shattering previous records and setting new milestones for the hospice.

The 10th Annual Pub Walk was nothing short of incredible, drawing in over 1,100 participants and raising an astounding £31,000 for the hospice.

This remarkable achievement highlights the community's unwavering support and dedication to the hospice's mission.

The hospice said it wanted to send a heartfelt 'thank you' to the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale and official sponsors, Intack Self Drive, whose support was 'invaluable'.

It said the incredible volunteers and the numerous pubs who welcomed walkers with open arms and fantastic deals; their contributions were 'essential' to the event's success.

The hospice also extended its deepest gratitude to all of its supporters. Their participation and fundraising efforts will significantly enhance patient care, supporting individuals and their families facing life-limiting illnesses in Blackburn, Hyndburn, Darwen, and the Ribble Valley.

Event organiser and head of fundraising at East Lancashire Hospice, Leanne Green, said: “We are blown away by the amount raised for the hospice, the support we have received from our supporters, the pubs, and our local community.

"We are so grateful to the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale who have helped to organise this incredible event and to our official sponsors, Intack Self Drive.

"This year's event celebrated our 10th annual Pub Walk and was our best one yet!

"We are looking forward to next year's event and raising even more money for East Lancashire Hospice.”
