Needless to say... *SPOILERS*

The Pretty Little Liars endgame is well and truly finished as AD has been revealed.

Yes, after seven seasons and countless text messages, the culprit AD (or Uber A) was finally unearthed as Spencer's identical British twin sister, Alex Drake.

The series conclusion saw a number of questions answered but not all of them. Indeed, the big reveal also opened the door for even more questions we know will probably never be answered.

Dang. Here they are, anyway.

1) How did Alex Drake kill Wren?

We know Alex Drake killed her lover Wren and made him into a diamond necklace, but we never found out how she did it.

We assume she shot him with the gun Wren shot her with earlier, but that theory was never confirmed on screen.

Another mystery spanning from Wren's off-screen death is where Alex ended up burning his body.

To get ashes like that, Alex surely must have used an incinerator – and who has one of those lying about?

Alex must have either used her super-sleuth abilities to acquire the use of one, built her own in her huge underground bunker, or staged Wren's death as an accident and had a proper burial and all.

It looks like we'll never know what really went down there.

2) Who did Mona think AD was at the start of the episode?

The episode opened with a weird snow sequence before we cut to AD visiting Mona in the psychiatric hospital where she was presumably staying.

While Mona uttered the line, "I never would have guessed it would be you" to the hooded figure, she later revealed she didn't know the identity of AD after all and, given AD's penchant for masks, Alex could have been dressed as anyone.

So, who did Mona see under the hood initially? Spencer? Melissa? Aria?

3) How did the wine mums escape the basement?

They know. We never will.

Indeed the mystery of the wine mums' basement escape is probably the mystery I Marlene King was referring to when she said only one of the show's long-standing questions wouldn't get an answer.

During the episode, the wine mums reminisced about their escape and from what we can gather, it sounds like they got smashed, broke out and whatever occurred after that put Pam off drinking for a year.

Seriously? What the hell happened in there?

4) Is Mary Drake evil or not?

Mary Drake is possibly the biggest PLL loose end because we still don't know if she is evil or not.

The series finale revealed Mary did indeed help Alex with her plan to find Charlotte's killer, proving she was on the AD team.

However, she then turned herself in to the police to save Spencer and the other Liars from serious jail time for killing Archer Dunhill and made Alex promise not to kill Spencer, so seemed to be working as a double agent.

This was contradicted, however, when Alex revealed she was going to kill Spencer after all and Mary got punched and left on the sidewalk after a very measly attempt to save her.

After the incident, a detective revealed he caught Mary a few blocks away, which seems to suggest she was making a break for it instead of trying once more to save Spencer from being murdered, which seems a very self-serving move indeed.

Is she evil? Again, it's hard to say what her true intent was, as it wasn't properly explained in the episode.

For the record, we think she's a piece of trash.

5) How did Mona get Mary and Alex Drake out of prison and over to Paris?

While we were happy to see Mary and Alex get their comeuppance via the show's one true hero, Mona Vanderwaal, this was a bonkers last scene.

The closing frames revealed Mona was living in Paris running her very own doll shop (LOL) and had Mary and Alex trapped in the basement having a tea party, but how did she get them there?

So much planning. And passports. Little explanation.

6) How did Alex make those intricate and very life-like masks?

We don't know.

7) Why is Alex's British accent so cockney?

Out of all the remaining mysteries, this is the one we struggle with the most.

The series finale revealed Alex's adoptive British parents were extremely wealthy and upper class, which was confusing, given Alex Drake had the accent of an East-End market trader.

In short, it was more Walford than Made in Chelsea – which should not be the case, considering Alex didn't start causing havoc until she was a pre-teen and lived in a very rich household up until then.

Oh, and the accent was also terrible. No-one speaks like that, alrigh' guvnor?

8) Did Alex kill Yvonne?

The series finale revealed Alex had the major hots for Toby and was glad 'Yvonne was out of the way' so she could pretend to be Spencer and win him back.

Hmmm, does this mean Yvonne's death was more sinister than first thought?

9) Why did Alex Drake hate Hanna SO much?

AD had such beef with Hanna throughout the endgame. But why?

We're so not sure because this was never explained, but maybe it has something to do with the fact both Hanna and Spencer dated Caleb?

Asking for a friend.

10) Why didn't Alex reach out to Spencer rather than settle for half-sibling Charlotte?

If Alex was so desperate to have family, it seemed reaching out to her actual twin sister rather than her half-sister Charlotte would have been the much more logical option.

Wren was so tight with Spencer!

He could have dropped her a text to let her know she had a secret identical twin sister across the pond and all this could have been resolved much more easily #justsaying.

11) Is there going to be a Pretty Little Liars 2?

You guys, Addison is missing.

You may not care – she's pretty unlikeable – but who knows? Maybe Willow and the rest of the gang will get a text from 'B' any day now...

Pretty Little Liars airs on Freeform in the US and Netflix in the UK.
