£110m tower blocks with panoramic roof garden could be built in city centre
A £110m scheme could see two tower blocks and townhouses built on the edge of the city centre.
North West developer Jarron plans to build 406 luxury apartments and townhouses on a site called Metalworks on Leeds Street, at the edge of Liverpool city centre. Jarron, who acquired the Metalworks site in September 2023, plans to deliver a mix of one, two and three bed apartments within two 15-storey blocks, as well as five 'New York City style' townhouses.
The scheme will provide a range of amenity space including a residents lounge, bar, co-working space, a cinema room, gym, a running track and a panoramic rooftop terrace. It is estimated that more than 380 jobs could be created during the design, construction and operational phases.

The proposal aims to breathe new life into a site which has stood vacant for several years. It will sit within the 'Northern Quarter' area, adjacent to the city's business district.
Will Clarke, development director at Jarron, said: "Liverpool city centre is a historic and vibrant area and our Metalworks scheme will provide high quality & much needed residential accommodation that will build on this success.
"This is a game-changing residential project from Jarron, with first-class amenities for residents in an ideal location for work, leisure, travel and nightlife.
"We are looking forward to the scheme progressing at pace, helping to inject new energy into a vibrant area of the city centre."
Jarron's proposals are expected to go before city planners imminently.
