Temperatures are climbing in the UK and if you're lucky enough to have a garden, you might be keen to give it a bit of a refresh in time for any parties or gatherings you have planned.

And one mum has been raving about a very affordable buy from budget supermarket Aldi which has 'transformed' her garden, saying she 'absolutely loves' the look.

Manchester Evening News writer Emma Gill stumbled across the product in her local store, and after decorating her garden, she was taken aback at the value for money and how much better her outdoor space now looks.

Raving about the Aldi Solar Mini Spiral Lights, she said: "I love the design of them and how they can be scattered about the garden and hung off everything from trees, to hooks and parasols.

"You get four in a pack for £9.99, so, at less than £2.50 a light, that's really good value for money and, while they're described as 'mini' they're actually pretty big, around eight inches tall to the top of the handle.

"I bought the warm white LEDs, and hung them in trees, but you can get multi-coloured ones too."

If these don't match the vibe of your garden then don't worry - there are countless other decor and lighting items that you can pick up from Aldi for an affordable price.

Emma also picked up the Solar Geometric String Lights for her garden, which £6.99 for a set of 10. She said: "I hung them on the fence alongside a garland and some plants and it's made such a big difference to see that area glowing at night. They're also ideal to hang from trellis, trees and parasols too.

"The packs were among a range of garden lights available at Aldi."
