Two Adults and Dog Rescued From Rising Waters in California

Firefighters rescued two people and a dog from a makeshift shelter in Sacramento on Tuesday, March 14, as an atmospheric river brought rain to the West Coast.

Video shared by the Sacramento Fire Department shows scenes from the water rescue near the Tenaya Avenue and Natoma Street intersection on Tuesday.

The department confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. Area residents were urged to “be mindful of the rising waters and get to higher ground” as the National Weather Service reported “some roadway flooding” in the northern Sacramento Valley and reminded drivers to “never” go through flooded roadways.
