2 Oak Lawn men killed in Hometown crash
Two Oak Lawn men died from multiple injuries in a car crash Sunday in Hometown, near Oak Lawn, according to authorities.
Diego Lopez, 18, of the 9700 block of Kostner Avenue, and Oscar Garcia, 20, of the 9600 block of Tripp Avenue, were pronounced dead Sunday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Both had suffered injuries as a result of a vehicle accident and their deaths were ruled accidental, according to the office.
Police said Sunday they responded to a two-vehicle accident at 87th Street and Cicero Avenue involving multiple injuries and extrication. Additional information was not immediately available.
According to the medical examiner’s office, Lopez was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. Sunday at Christ and had suffered blunt force injuries as a result of a car accident.
Garcia was pronounced dead shortly after 7 p.m. and had suffered multiple injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office.
