Which 2025 Cars Will Owners Want To Keep for 15 Years?
Americans love their Toyotas. In a recent study from iSeeCars covering the 13 most-loved vehicles in the United States — as measured by owners who kept their cars for at least 15 years — more than 50% of the rankings featured various Toyota models. Other car brands rounding out the rankings included Honda, Ford, Lexus, Nissan and Subaru.

While there’s a good chance drivers buying any of these cars will want to keep them for as long as possible, many Americans are working with tight budgets.
We reviewed each of the 13 most-loved vehicles and eliminated any with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at $40,000 or higher to ensure affordability. See which remaining eight cars are worth the investment.
Toyota Camry Hybrid
2025 MSRP: $29,835 to $37,560
For efficiency, reliability and affordability, the Toyota Camry Hybrid should be on car shoppers’ radars this year. Nearly 7% of original owners keep their Camry Hybrids for 15 years or more.
This popular passenger car also ranked in fifth place on a separate iSeeCars study covering the 100 most popular used cars to purchase in 2024.

Toyota Tacoma
2025 MSRP: $33,085 to $54,050
If you have the spending power to purchase a truck, consider the beloved Toyota Tacoma. The percentage of owners who keep their Tacomas for 15 years or more is 6.4%.
The Tacoma is also the sixth most popular car to buy used and the most popular used car in Portland, Oregon.

Toyota Prius
2025 MSRP: $29,485 to $36,500
The Toyota Prius remains good for the environment and even better on the bank accounts of drivers who want to purchase this car. According to iSeeCars, 6.3% of original owners keep this vehicle for 15 years or more.
Honda CR-V
2025 MSRP: $31,495 to $37,895
We previously referenced the practical Honda CR-V as an SUV owners will want to keep for 15 years, so it has some crossover into this list. About 6.3% of owners who purchase CR-Vs keep them for 15 years or longer.
Ford Escape Hybrid
2025 MSRP: $33,985 to $39,895
Another solid SUV, and overall beloved car, to consider buying this year is the Ford Escape Hybrid, which provides drivers with a reasonably priced, efficient and comfortable ride. The percentage of owners who keep Escape Hybrids for 15 years or more is 6.3%.
Toyota RAV4
2025 MSRP: $30,245 to $39,950
As the eighth most-loved car, the Toyota RAV4 is an equally popular SUV (ranked in fifth place) and used car to purchase (ninth place). The RAV4 accounts for 1.6% of total 1- to 5-year-old used car sales, with 6.2% of original owners keeping their RAV4 for 15 years or more.

Nissan Versa
2025 MSRP: $18,330 to $22,330
Though the Nissan Versa falls much further down the list of the top 100 used cars in the United States (88th), it cracked 10th among the most-loved cars — likely due to its economical pricing. According to iSeeCars, 5.7% of original owners keep the Versa for 15 years or more.
Subaru Forester
2025 MSRP: $31,230 to $41,390
Rounding out our list is the Subaru Forester. The percentage of owners who keep this SUV for 15 years or more is 5.5%.
