Yahoo News 2026 Genesis Electrified G80 Has a Longer Wheelbase and Larger Screen
The 2026 Genesis Electrified G80 marks the first time the electric sedan has been facelifted.
The updated model stretches the wheelbase by 5.1 inches, while the styling is updated with a refreshed grille and new headlights.
Inside, the Electrified G80 swaps the old 14.5-inch touchscreen for a 27.0-inch unit with the gauge cluster and infotainment system under a single pane of glass.

The Genesis Electrified G80 is earning its first facelift as it enters the third year of production. While Genesis has only revealed the Korean version so far, we expect its changes to migrate to the U.S. lineup.
The refreshed EV G80 follows in the footsteps of its gasoline-powered twin and GV80 SUV siblings that have received a similar set of updates. Along with some new styling cues for the exterior and new tech inside, the updated Electrified G80's wheelbase is also stretched by 5.1 inches compared with its predecessor.
The exterior changes include slight revisions to the headlights, front and rear bumpers, and the grille, while the wheel design lineup is revamped. The EV charge-port cover gets a nice upgrade with a new power open and close feature. The biggest visual change comes from the stretched wheelbase, which now measures 123.6 inches versus its predecessor's 118.5-inch wheelbase.
The extra room between the wheels improves comfort inside the EV G80 as well, with much of the extra space dedicated to rear-seat legroom. There are new VIP reclining seats complete with leg rests for the rear. The back seats also add a new memory feature to save your preferred position.
Perhaps more noticeable than the extra space, is the new infotainment screen on the dash. The old 14.5-inch display is gone, with a 27.0-inch OLED unit combining the gauge cluster and infotainment under a single pane of glass. As with the gas-fed version, the center console still features two rotary knobs, one for the infotainment system and the other serving as the gear selector.
Unfortunately, Genesis hasn't revealed any information on potential changes to the powertrain. We're also still waiting on official details regarding the U.S. model, such as availability, pricing, and range. The 2024 Genesis Electrified G80 started at $75,625, and we don't expect the '26 model to be considerably more expensive than that.
