2025 Porsche Taycan Pricing Now Starts over $100KPorsche
  • The 2025 Porsche Taycan lineup's pricing has been released, and the electric sports sedan just became a lot more expensive.

  • The base price for the Taycan has risen from roughly $92,000 last year to $101,395 for the 2025 model year.

  • Sadly, the sporty GTS sedan and GTS Sport Turismo Wagon variants are noticeably absent from Porsche's current U.S. figures, though we expect them to return as well.

Porsche freshens up the Taycan for the 2025 model year with a light facelift and improvements to charging and range. Unfortunately for consumers in the market for a new Taycan, those upgrades come with some big price hikes.

For the entry-model sedans, the base Taycan now starts at $101,395, marking an $8845 increase over last year, while the 4S increases to $120,495. As for the more powerful Turbo and Turbo S sedans, those now start at $175,595 and $210,995, respectively.

The Taycan's wagon variation follows a similar pattern. The entry Taycan 4 Cross Turismo now starts at $113,095, the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo at $127,195, the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo at $178,295, and the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo at $213,695.

To help offset the sting of higher costs is the better battery performance along with the facelift and updated display. There's a new "push-to-pass" function included in the Sport Chrono package that offers a 10-second boost of up to 70 kilowatts, depending on the model. In the Taycan Turbo S that means a boost of 140 kW when using the Launch Control feature, bringing the peak output to 938 horsepower.

Porsche has also shed weight from the battery while increasing capacity. We had a chance to test drive a prototype 2025 Taycan in California. It drove for 313 miles before stopping, with the car showing an 8 percent state of charge. That allowed us to charge our test car from 8 to 80 percent in just under 17 minutes, with a peak charging rate of 327 kW. That puts the prototype right in line with Porsche's estimated 18 minutes to get from 10 to 80 percent state of charge.

Deliveries for 2025 Taycan sedans are scheduled to begin in the summer, with the Cross Turismo wagon variants following in the fall. Unfortunately, the GTS sedan and GTS Sport Turismo wagon are noticeably absent from Porsche's current list, but we expect them to be re-introduced later this year. Along with the latter trims, the unnamed winged Taycan that Porsche teased lapping the Nürburgring was also noticeably absent from Porsche's pricing.
