Four people were killed and another person was seriously injured after an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collided with a truck on a rural road in Colorado, according to multiple reports.

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said troopers responded to the site of a crash between a Polaris RZR ATV and a Ram 5500 truck at an intersection near Brush, Colorado at around 3:34 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, according to KMGH-TV, KUSA and Associated Press.

The CSP added that their investigation found the driver of the ATV, who was traveling north on Morgan County Road 31, entered an intersection without “yielding” at a stop sign and was hit by the truck heading west on County Road C, per the outlets.

Four people who had been traveling in the ATV, including two adults — both 22 years old — and a 1-year-old baby and 2-year-old boy, were killed in the crash, while the driver of the truck suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, the CSP continued.

Trooper Gabriel Moltrer, a state patrol spokesperson, told AP and KMGH-TV that troopers suspect drugs and alcohol may have played a role in the crash, though they did not give any additional details as to who was suspected to have been under the influence.

Moltrer told the news outlets that the incident is still under investigation.

Colorado State Patrol did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Morgan County Coroner Mike Dahl told Colorado Public Radio that some family members of the deceased had already been notified as of Thursday, July 4. He also noted that autopsy results for the crash could take four to six weeks and that the names of those who died in the crash would be released at a later date.

According to the Polaris website, the RZR ATV can transport either two or four passengers and has “30" Tire, 15" aluminum wheels” with a “poly sport roof.” The ATV model does not appear to have any windows though it does have seat belts built in.

The incident comes a few months after a 7-year-old boy, who had not been wearing a helmet, died in a crash at a Florida ATV park. The boy had been sitting behind a 32-year-old man operating an ATV when the vehicle flipped, Florida Highway Patrol said at the time.

Last year, a mother of four was also killed when an ATV wrecked in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
