Yahoo News 47 Premier League free agents as Leicester City eye bargain transfer deals
With Leicester City needing to be sensible in the transfer window this summer in order to ensure they risk no further breaches of Profit and Sustainability regulations, the free agent market may become more tempting than ever before.
City have had big success in the past with free deals, bringing in Marc Albrighton, Esteban Cambiasso and Christian Fuchs for nothing in years gone by, each of the trio going on to be huge successes for the club. So is there a gem of a player out there who could arrive on a free this summer?
City now have a few candidates to consider with the Premier League retained lists published this week. We have rifled through them to pick out the 47 most notable names.

Some on the list are already on the verge of moves to new clubs. Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly looks to be heading to Newcastle, while Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo is making the short trip to Chelsea. There are also a few players for whom a move to City won’t be considered, such as Manchester United’s Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial, and Liverpool’s Thiago Alcantara.
But there are plenty of other interesting names. Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny for one, given he was a transfer target for City only a few years ago. There’s Tottenham winger Ryan Sessegnon too, one of the hottest young players around a few seasons back and still with the potential to do well if he can overcome his injury woes.
