Next week on Hollyoaks, James and Diane face big decisions, while George's past is explored and Juliet and Peri share their first kiss.

1. James makes a beeline for John Paul
Cracks begin to show in John Paul's romance with George next week, and James couldn't be happier about it.
After spotting an awkward exchange between the couple, a delighted James swoops in invites John Paul to a client dinner with him that evening.
2. George arrests John Paul – and gives him an ultimatum
As a tipsy James and John Paul walk through the village post dinner, they are stopped in their tracks by an irritated George.
When James goads him about spending time with John Paul, George snaps and arrests them both for stealing wine, locking them in a cell together.
George then tells a shocked John Paul that he should use this time alone with James to decide who he really wants to be with.
3. George's past is explored
While John Paul and George spend the night on the naughty step, George's own honesty is called into question.
When George sneaks off to meet his friend Andy, his needy ex, Dean turns up instead. It's there that it will become clear that George isn't as squeaky clean when we see just how desperate Dean is. Is George hiding a dark past?
4. Edward continues to scheme
With Tony adamant that he needs to be cruel to be kind in order to protect Diane and his children, Edward ups the ante with his scheming.
When Diane decides that she isn't ready to give up on Tony yet, Edward is thwarted and stoops lower than ever with his latest shocking move.
Tony is horrified when Edward later shows him some monster pictures that the kids have drawn and lies that it's how they see their dad. Convinced that his own children are fearful of him, Tony decides that Diane is better off with Edward.
5. Juliet makes a big discovery
Bad boy Jordan's two-timing ways could be about to catch up with him next week, when Juliet spots him kissing Leela in an alleyway.
Furious that he is betraying Peri, who she has feelings for, Juliet later confronts Jordan, but is soon given bigger things to worry about…
6. Sid and Juliet are in too deep
Despite her earlier discovery, Juliet's mind turns elsewhere when Jordan introduces her to his dangerous boss, Victor.
Sid and Juliet are then faced with selling twice as many drugs as normal and decide to target Imran's small get-together to deal.
Later, Sid and Juliet take over Imran's party guest list so they can increase their chances of selling Victor's drugs. But are they playing with fire?
7. Romeo is left devastated
Romeo faces a major setback in his love life next week when it's suggested his feelings for Cher aren't reciprocated.
After Goldie and Joel's match-making efforts, Romeo is gutted when Cher friend-zones him.
8. Diane has a decision to make
Feeling triumphant following his latest manipulation of Tony, Edward pushes Diane to decide between her past and her future (aka Tony and him!)
Diane is furious when Tony later sets up a date for her and Edward in The Hutch and tells her that it's Edward who she deserves to be with.
With Diane clearly torn, Edward emotionally blackmails Verity into winning Diane round for him. What will Diane do?
9. Peri and Juliet kiss
At Imran's party, Juliet hopes her luck is in with Peri, but Sid grows frustrated that her love life is distracting her from keeping her mind on the job.
Later, Peri and Juliet go outside for some fresh air and they share a kiss. Will this be the start of their romance?
Hollyoaks is now back with new episodes from Monday to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing at 7pm on E4.
