Three in hospital after serious crash closes A12
Three people are in hospital following a serious collision which closed part of the A12.
Officers from Essex police were called to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway near Colchester United Football Stadium shortly after 8.35am on Thursday.
Part of the central reservation was damaged and partner agencies remain on site to deal with the incident but the road has reopened.
It followed an lane closure on the major route earlier in the day.
The #A12 is now OPEN southbound between J29 and J27 near #Colchester following a multi vehicle collision.
Delays of 10 mins remain and approx. 1 mile of congestion.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.31am with reports of a collision southbound of the A12 in Colchester.
"We sent three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle.
"Three people were taking to Colchester General Hospital for further care."
