Traffic on the A14 has cleared after a diesel leak from a lorry caused it to close earlier.

Emergency services were called to the A14 westbound, at Trimley St Martin near Felixstowe, at about 3.48pm on Thursday to reports of a lorry on fire.

Upon arriving at the scene a fire crew identified that there was no blaze, but smoke was coming from the lorry and fuel was leaking.

The road was closed to allow fire services to clean up the oil spill and clear the road.

The road has now been reopened and traffic is flowing normally.
