A38 crash: Driver dies after collision between silver Honda and red Nissan Navara in Cornwall

A man aged in his 50s died following a two-vehicle crash in Cornwall yesterday, Sunday, April 28. A female also remains in a critical condition after the collision on the A38 at Glynn Valley.

Emergency services, including the Cornwall Air Ambulance, were called to the scene between Bodmin Parkway train station and The Halfway House at around 12.30pm. The crash involved a silver Honda Jazz hatchback and a red Nissan Navara pick-up truck.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three people, who were travelling in the red Nissan, were taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital at Truro to be treated for minor injuries, while a female passenger was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and remains in a critical condition.

Investigating officers are appealing to the public for information on the crash. They are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.

"Anyone with any relevant information or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting reference log 293 of 28th April 2024."
