A38 crash: Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision near Wellington

Two people were rushed to hospital after a crash on the A38 yesterday (Sunday, April 14). Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the collision between a bike and a motorbike near Whiteball, Wellington, at around 1.15pm.

The road was closed as paramedics treated the casualties and the motorbike was recovered. Police said the cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the motorcyclist was taken to hospital by air ambulance with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The A38 reopened at around 10pm and investigating officers are now appealing for information. They are asking witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the crash to get in touch.

Avon and Somerset Police said in an appeal: "If you witnessed the collision or have any information which could help our investigation, please contact us.
