Three people are in hospital after a crash left the A96 blocked westbound near the Haudagain Roundabout in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash which occurred on Friday morning near the roundabout and the bypass junction.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said earlier today: "Around 10.50am on Friday, 26 April, 2024, we were called to a report of a one-vehicle crash on Auchmill Road, Aberdeen. Emergency services are in attendance."

The crash caused significant delays in the area on Friday afternoon, with traffic diverted via the A92 Muggiemoss Road throughout the closure.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has since confirmed three people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after sending multiple teams to the scene.

It included three ambulances, a rapid response unit, their special operations team, and a trauma team.

A spokesperson said: "We received a call at 1047 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on Auchmill Road in Aberdeen.

"We dispatched three ambulances, our special operations team, a rapid response unit and our trauma team to the scene. We transported three patients to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
