Aberdeen fans might have been glad to see the back of the last campaign after the turbulent results left them with little to savour come May, but there is still plenty of football for Dons fans to enjoy.

The Euros are fast approaching, and teams across the continent are making their final preparations for the big tournament in Germany.

While all of Aberdeen's internationals will be missing out on Euro 2024, there is still international football to savour as a big fortnight of friendlies gets underway tonight.

Connor Barron and Jack Milne

Two Dons stars are in action for Scotland Under-21s this week, with the first game kicking off tonight over in Istanbul before Scott Gemmill's side head to Wiener Neustadt in Austria.

Barron, a regular in the side, is back among the action while Milne has received a late call-up after he replaced the former Hibs defender Josh Doig in the squad.

Richard Jensen

Having endured Euros heartbreak when Finland missed out on the play-offs, Jensen will be hoping for a happier time in camp as he returns to international duty this week.

Like Canada, Finland face some tough tests against sides heading to Germany, but Dons fans could get to see one of their own in action against Scotland as Steve Clarke's side conclude their preparations at Hampden.

Duk

While most of the international Dons are facing friendlies this week, things are a bit more serious for Duk and Cape Verde as they take on Cameroon and Libya in FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Cape Verde currently sit second in their group and will be looking to strengthen their position, with the Dons winger no doubt eager to make his mark in the upcoming games.

Jamie McGrath

The Republic of Ireland missed out on Euro 2024 under Stephen Kenny in the qualifiers, but it's now John O'Shea at the helm hoping to impress in their two outings over the next fortnight.

McGrath is retained in the squad as the former Manchester United defender takes charge in Dublin and Aveiro for what are two enticing fixtures.

They face a trip to Belgium before entertaining Georgia in Podgorica, and Rubi will be eager to kick on having made three appearances and scored once since declaring his allegiance to Montenegro.
