An Absolutely Necessary Deep Dive on ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Devin Strader

If you’ve been desperately waiting for something to make Mondays just slightly less brutal, rejoice: The Bachelorette is back! This season, we, the people of Bachelor Nation, will be following along as Jenn Tran finds love in a hopeless place, aka on set of America’s longest running (maybe, I didn’t actually check) matchmaking reality show.

And honestly, Jenn’s prospective suitors seem pretty great for the most part. Personally? We have our eye on 28-year-old Devin Strader—the Pete Davidson of this season—who was quick to impress Jenn with his loud personality, sense of humor, and general good vibes. On that note, gather round for alllllll the need-to-know facts about Devin + some truly gasp-inducing spoilers about exactly how far he makes it on the chaotic adventure known as The Bachelorette.

He’s a Freight Company Owner

Not entirely sure what that entails but love that Devin runs his own company—seemingly in Houston, Texas. Per ABC, this dude is “extremely hardworking, passionate about his career, and proud of the business he’s built.” Apparently, Devin is also super close to his mom (who raised him and his siblings as a single parent), which seems like a major green flag. Here’s to hoping he makes it to Hometowns so we can meet the family.*

He “Dreams” of Surprising His Partner

Love this! According to ABC’s bio writer (thinking of you always, friend!) Devin “is 100 percent husband material and dreams of surprising his partner with romantic gestures throughout their relationship.” Oh, and when he’s not working he “loves running” (wow, never related to anything less) and enjoys “spending time with his dog, Charlie.”

As for what he’s looking for in a long-term partner, “Devin is hoping his future wife is honest, kind, and embraces his big personality. He admits he’s a bit loud and loves to talk.”

He also made it clear to Jenn during night one that he needs someone who takes care of their nails, and he seems to have a mild foot fetish (the convo about Jenn’s toes was...prolonged!), so there’s that.

Also would very much like to note, with concern, that Devin “loves eating shrimp tacos despite being allergic to shrimp,” which has me genuinely worried about his welfare. Like, you KNOW producers are going to choose chaos and feed him a shellfish tower at some point this season.

Bachelor Nation Feel...Strongly About Him

Unfortunately, not everyone is on board the Devin train. According to a report from ScreenRant, he’s been at the center of drama with other contestants Aaron, Thomas N., and Sam M., and Bach Nation is hesitant that it might affect his relationship with Jenn down the line. 😬

I know, right? HUGE NEWS! And it comes straight from longtime Bachelor Nation detective Reality Steve, who reported that Jenn’s final two contestants are Marcus Shoberg and Devin Strader, and that “she’s engaged to Devin.” Scream!
