Adam Levine Offers To Pay For Christina Grimmie's Funeral

Last Friday singer Christina Grimmie was shot dead at a fan meet and greet held after her Orlando performance.

The 22 year old shot to fame after appearing on the sixth season of The Voice US back in 2014, and now her show mentor, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, has offered to pay for her funeral.

Christina’s brother Marcus took to Facebook to share Adam’s generous gesture with the star’s fans, writing: “I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away.”

When the tragic news of Christina’s death first broke devastated Adam paid tribute to the starlet, sharing: “Behati [Prinsloo, his wife] and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s tragic death.

"Our hearts go out to her family. Christina was a natural, a gifted talent that comes along so rarely. She was taken from us too soon.

"This is yet another senseless act of extreme violence. I am left stunned and confused how these things can conceivably continue to happen in our world.”

Christina’s manager Brian Teefey had previously set up a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral expenses.

Marcus thanked fans and friends for their support on social media, writing: “Words cannot express.

"Literally I have no words. I promise both my parents and I will read every one of these personalized messages. I’m so blown away by everything right now.

"But all I can say is thank you. And Christina will be missed and never ever forgotten.”

Police have identified Kevin James Loibl as the killer, who turned his gun on himself after Marcus tackled him to the ground.
