An onlooker says he 'looked pretty chilled' on his phone

Adam Sandler continues to amuse London locals as he's now been spotted chilling in a doorway near Claridge's hotel in Mayfair.

One of Hollywood's modern comedy heroes, the Sandman (as he's lovingly referred to) appeared in The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, and The Water Boy in the 1990s before dabbling in more dramatic work with Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, and Uncut Gems. His latest release is the odd .

Sandler, who most recently starred in Netflix sci-fi Spaceman, was spotted on Tuesday, when the actor was apparently seen scrolling on his phone by a nearby worker.

Corin Richards told SWNS: "He was sat on the floor chilling, and had his phone out and a couple of security guards either side of him. He looked pretty chilled."

Ever the basketball fanatic, Sandler dressed in his signature sports shorts at the time, with a hoodie and puffer jacket combo.

"Celebrities do stay in Claridge's — so working in Mayfair, I walk past celebrities quite a lot," added Richards. "I don't know that he was staying at the hotel, but it feels pretty likely. I'm a big fan of Adam Sandler, so it was really cool. I was excited to see him."

This comes in the wake of another crazy Sandler-civilian crossover last month. TikTok star Cacherel was understandably blown away by the A-lister's random jaunt to Kensington Leisure Centre, videoing him knocking about with some of the local school and college kids on the basketball court in a three-a-side match.

Speaking to his followers, Cacherel explained: "I'm in the ends yeah, west London. I pulled up to my local basketball court and look. Bro, that's Adam Sandler... look bro, you lot think I'm messing."
