Adam Thomas says 'worries get the best of me' as he jokes about daughter's 'love' for him in sweet post

Adam Thomas joked about whether his daughter actually loves him as he spoke about his 'worries' in a 'soppy' social media post. The Waterloo Road star took to Instagram with a sweet snap with his two children Teddy and Elsie.

It showed the trio beaming for the camera as they lay on the grass, pulling the same pose, resting their chins on their hands. Adam joked he wanted to share the post 'for likes' in a delayed Father's Day message.

The 35-year-old wrote: "I know life can be pretty stressful at times and my own insecurities and worry’s can get the best of me. But one thing I don’t worry about, is the love I have for these kids of mine, and the love they have for me! (Well sometimes I’m not too sure if Elsie even likes me let alone loves me) haha."

He added: "But all jokes aside I know Father’s Day has just passed and just wanted to do a soppy post for likes but I’ve ran out of shit to say now. So happy Father’s Day to all! Here’s a cute pic of me and my kids x wishing you all a lovely evening xx."

Adam's fans and followers were quick to respond as they gushed over the sweet snap. @fiona.byrne.169 said: "Beautiful picture beautiful family." @clairehewick37 commented: "Awe what an amazing picture. The love just shines through great family, much love."

It comes after Adam shared an emotional video with fans in which his daughter could be seen in tears. The actor took to social media with the clip of little Elsie saying goodbye to her cousins at the end of a wholesome family holiday.

Adam, his wife Caroline and their two children had been spending time together in Portugal where Adam's brother, former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, celebrated his 40th birthday. But after the celebrations were over, Ryan said goodbye to Adam and his family as they headed home.

And it clearly left Elsie feeling sad as in her dad's video, she was seen trying to stop her tears while kissing goodbye to her cousin, Ryan's daughter, Scarlett as well as younger cousin, Roman, as he stayed on in Portugal alongside Ryan, his fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh and younger sister Lilah.

Adding the Freya Ridings track 'Lost Without You' to his video, Adam, 35, wrote to his fans and followers: "Nothing worse than leaving your holiday as a kid! Let’s face it we’ve all been there… "

He added: "Breaks my heart watching it happen to your kids though. Love how the next generation of the Thomas family are so close. Family really is everything x." And the Waterloo Road star's fans and followers were quick to respond as they hailed the Thomas' 'family goals'.
