Ade Lello has six appeal as NSSCL Division One leaders Bignall End win again

Ade Lello grabbed six wickets to help NSSCL Division One leaders Bignall End cruise to victory at Porthill Park seconds.

Bignall End set sail to an eighth win in 10 outings by skittling their hosts for just 79 at the Old County Ground.

Lello was the chief destroyer, picking up 6-26, while Aunn Shah (3-47) maintained the pressure at the other end.

Tom Mason (15) top-scored for Porthill Park, with Liam Hassett’s 14 and 12 apiece from Blake Blumeris and Jake Plummer were the other noteworthy contributions.

Bignall End needed just 13.3 overs to complete a seven-wicket success.

Geroge Harding (25no) led the way, backed up by Martin Dawson (18) and Jon Maskrey (17). Adam Ralphs took two of the wickets.

Cheadle 2nd XI are in second place, 12 points off the summit, following their win at Meir Heath.

Jake Mills and Ben Degg contributed 44 and 30 respectively as Cheadle posted 156 all out in the formative stages.

There were three wickets apiece for Maz Akhtar (3-16) and Asim Ali (3-57), with the other wickets being shared by Abid Hussain and Dale Heath.

Akhtar (34) and Ahsan Javed (31) led the Meir Heath response.

But it wasn’t enough as the home side were bowled out for 91 as Ryan Elwell scooped 4-4 and Jack Winfield struck twice.

Hem Heath seconds are level on points with Cheadle after winning comfortably at Blythe. Matthew Rogerson’s century underpinned Hem Heath’s progress to 247-8 from their 50 overs.

Rogerson’s 114 contained 17 fours and one six, with opening partner Usama Sajjad Dar chipping in with 51. His knock featured nine boundaries.

Danny Sanders also weighed in with 30, while Peter Finch’s 3-33 was the outstanding performance with the ball for Blythe.

Blyth’s run chase never truly got off the ground, even though Ben Sharp made 28 and Muhammad Salman Hanif added 27.

But they were dismissed for 109 as Nazakat Ali helped himself to 5-14 and Muhammad Rahim snared 3-27.

Oakamoor executed a fine chase to win at Rode Park & Lawton - despite Richard Bebbington’s best efforts to deny them.

Oakamoor were set 224 for victory and managed to bank a four-wicket win with more than five overs remaining.

Openers Tom Sherratt (84no) and Joe Avery (53) set them on their way with an ideal platform.

Bebbington picked up 3-27 to drag Rode Park & Lawton back into contention, but Dilesh Gunarathne’s unbeaten 33 saw Oakamoor to their target.

Bebbington had earlier compiled a ton in Rode Park & Lawton’s 223-7 from their allocation.

Bebbington made 108, hitting 14 fours and three sixes, with support coming from Oliver Gallimore (28) and Jonathan Gallimore (22).

Gunarathne picked up 3-57 for Oakamoor and there were a couple of victims for James Smith.

Stone SP seconds were five-wicket winners at home against Endon.

Endon made their way to 151-9 in the first half of the match, led by Sam Rowley’s 33.

Simon Tucker wasn’t far behind with 32, while Andrew Sibley (28no) and Oliver Rogerson (22) also impressed.

Euan Irving, Devon Pollard and Joey Sharp all claimed two wickets.

Josh Tittensor struck twice after tea, but Richard Harvey made 57 not out, featuring seven fours and two sixes, to lead Stone SP past the post.

Fraser Dimberline (24no) and John Cheadle (22) also played their parts in the successful chase.

Sandbach returned from Barlaston with the points after completing a six-wicket triumph.

Alan Kiteley’s 49 was backed up by Fida Hussain’s 44 and 32 from Ben Grange as Barlaston made 183-9.

Jack Collett was the star turn with the ball for Sandbach, taking 5-31, before making 23 not out with the bat in reply.

And with Ben Collett top-scoring with 56 and fine support coming from Ather Abid (46) and Saeed Ali (21), Sandbach eased to their target. Matthew Myers and Ethan Squire shared the wickets to fall.
