Adele And Blur’s Damon Albarn Are STILL At War Over Record-Breaking Album

It looks like Adele and Blur’s Damon Albarn are still very much crossed off each other’s Christmas card list.

The pair fell out last year after Adele attempted to get the singer to collaborate on her latest album, 25 – and judging by scenes witnessed at the Ivor Novello awards on Thursday, Damon’s still pretty bitter about the whole thing.

According to The Sun, the Gorillaz singer was overheard telling Adele’s manager, Jonathan Dickins, that the Grammy Award-winning artist had treated him ‘appallingly’ over the past few months.

Damon was heard saying: “I got treated appallingly.

“You know, I know it, she knows it. I want her to call me, not you say it for her.”

“I’m disappointed Adele isn’t here. She needs to say sorry. She owes me an apology. The ball is in her court.”

Last year Damon came under fire from Adele fans after he branded the singer 'insecure’ and called her latest album 'middle of the road’.

Bit harsh, mate?

He told The Sun: “Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her - and I’m not a producer. I don’t know what is happening really. Will she use any of the stuff? I don’t think so. Let’s wait and see.”

“The thing is, she’s very insecure. And she doesn’t need to be, she’s still so young.”

Definitely not patronising at all there, Damon.

Adele predictably hit back during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, where she described working with the 'Parklife’ singer as “one of those ‘don’t meet your idol’ moments”.

She told the magazine: “The saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up, but it was sad and I regret hanging out with him. None of it was right. None of it suited my record.”

“He said I was insecure when I’m the least insecure person I know. I was asking his opinion about my fears, about coming back with a child involved - because he has a child - and then he calls me insecure?”

Yeah, don’t think that apology is happening any time soon, pal.
