Aerial Firefighting Units Deployed as Wildfires Rage in Turkey

Firefighting efforts continued as a wildfire burned in Kemer, Turkey, on July 25, officials said.

This footage was published by the Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and shows an aerial firefighting unit in Kemer. Ibrahim Yumakli said 11 aircraft and 22 helicopters had joined the battle to contain the wildfire.

The Turkish General Directorate of Forestry reported crews were working across in other cities across the country, including Kas, Tagil, Manisa, and Dulkadiroglu.

“We are fighting with all our might to control the fires,” the Turkish General Directorate of Forestry wrote in a tweet.
