AEW announces second Forbidden Door show with NJPW
AEW has announced the return of Forbidden Door, its joint pay-per-view event with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Forbidden Door was first held last year and featured matches between AEW and NJPW talent. This year's event will take place on Sunday, June 25 and hail from the Scotiabank Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Along with announcing the joint PPV, AEW also shared details of a month-long excursion of Canada which will start in June with Forbidden Door. On Wednesday, June 28, AEW will present Dynamite and Rampage live from the FirstOntarioCentre in Hamilton, Ontario.
On Wednesday, July 5 AEW: Dynamite and AEW: Rampage will take place from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
A week later, Dynamite will hail from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with that week's Rampage taking place on Friday, July 14 from Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Then. on Saturday, July 15, AEW House Rules will take place at the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, as part of Calgary Stampede.
Tickets for all events will be available on AEWTIX.com.
AEW CEO Tony Khan said: "Canada has a rich wrestling heritage, and our debut in Toronto last year served as a special moment in our incredible relationship with fans throughout the country."

"Now, we're not only entering new markets but also paying homage to the history of Canadian wrestling with unique moments like AEW House Rules taking place from the iconic Calgary Stampede," he added.
"This summer is shaping up to be massive with the return of Forbidden Door, and now Canadian fans in six separate markets will get the chance to witness what AEW has to offer up close and personal."
Catch AEW Dynamite live every Thursday at 1am in the UK and Rampage every Saturday at 3am on FITE with an AEW Plus subscription. US customers can also watch Dynamite on TBS and Rampage on TNT, and in the UK, Dynamite repeats air on ITV4.
