Yahoo News AFM: IFC Films, Shudder Take ‘Late Night With the Devil’ for North America, U.K. and Ireland
IFC Films and Shudder have snatched up rights to hot AFM horror title Late Night with the Devil, taking the film for North America, U.K. and Ireland in a deal with Cinetic Media.
IFC said it plans to release the film exclusively in theaters, with a later streaming window on Shudder.

Directed by Australian filmmaking brothers Cameron and Colin Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres, Scare Campaign), Late Night With the Devil evokes the spirit and style of 1970s horror classics like The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. It tells the story of the charismatic but ratings-challenged late night talk show host Jack Delroy (Suicide Squad star David Dastmalchian), who stages a demon-evoking seance on live TV and unexpectedly unleashes evil into the nation’s living rooms.
“Playing Jack Delroy in Late Night with the Devil was a once-in-a-lifetime role that haunted me and changed the way I look at my work forever,” said Dastmalchian. “IFC Films and Shudder are the perfect partners to bring this film to audiences. I’m so grateful to the Cairnes brothers for their craftsmanship and to all of the festival fans who have created an incredible rumble about Late Night with the Devil!”
The film premiered at SXSW and has done the fantasy festivals tour, winning best screenplay at the Sitges Film Festival and several prizes at Toronto After Dark, including best feature film and best lead performance for Dastmalchian.

The IFC/Shudder deal was negotiated by Cinetic Media on behalf of the filmmakers, Emily Gotto and Adam Koehler on behalf of the companies. Stuart Ford’s AGC is handling international sales of the film and did a special Halloween night screening for buyers at AFM.
Late Night With the Devil was produced by Derek Dauchy, Mat Govoni, Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Adam White, John Molloy and David Dastmalchian for Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Spooky Pictures, Future Pictures and Good Fiend Films.
