Agatha: Coven of Chaos's Patti LuPone teases she's playing classic Marvel character

Agatha: Coven of Chaos star Patti LuPone has teased her character in the upcoming Marvel series.

The actress and Broadway legend was confirmed to be joining the WandaVision spin-off back in December, though who she would be playing had remained under wraps.

However, during an appearance on The View, LuPone revealed that she would be portraying Marvel comics character Lilia Calderu, one of the witches in the coven.

"It's a coven of witches, and I play Lilia Calderu – who apparently is in the Marvel world," she explained. "I researched her. She's hot, she's really hot, she's got a great body and hair.

"I didn't know there were witches, I didn't know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the Marvel world."

"So, we are a coven of witches and the witches are: Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and [a] Familiar – if anybody knows Heartstopper – is Joe Locke," she went on to tease, describing her character as a "a 450-year-old Sicilian witch whose power is divination and whose trial is tarot".

As well as the aforementioned stars, Coven of Chaos is also set to star Emma Caulfield, who reprises her role as Dottie from WandaVision.

Meanwhile, star Elizabeth Olsen has addressed the prospect of her character Scarlet Witch popping up in the show.
