The agent of Everton-linked winger Jaden Philogene was apparently ordered to leave Barcelona premises by security after turning up at club offices unannounced.

Hull City attacker Philogene has been connected with a switch to Goodison Park, after recording 12 goals and six assists for the Championship side last season. The four-time capped England Under-21 international is said to have several clubs interested in his services.

Barcelona do not seem to be one of them. Information shared by journalist Gerard Romero has claimed the Spanish giants have never heard of Philogene, despite his agent turning up at the club’s headquarters this week.

He is accused of staging a photoshoot in the car park in a bid to ramp up interest in his client, although was soon asked to leave by security. Barcelona are thought to be ‘mystified’ as to why they are being linked with Philogene, whose agents are listed as Reflax Premium Sports.

Hull City owner Acun Ilicali had stoked the speculation fire by insisting “everything is true” when it comes to rumours around Philogene, adding to talkSPORT: "If you ask me, I told my fans that I wouldn’t sell anybody.

“My idea in football is not to make money. My idea in football is to make a strong and bigger club. But to make a bigger club, sometimes if a player says ‘I want to go’, that’s a different case because for me, changing one player is not the end of the world.”

Everton could lose out on the 22-year-old Aston Villa academy graduate, who is thought to be closing in on a move to Ipswich Town, according to BBC Sport.
