Air ambulance lands in park after boy hit by car

An air ambulance landed in a park after a boy was hit by a car.

Merseyside Police were called to Lancaster Road in Huyton at around 7pm on Tuesday, May 14. It followed a report of a crash involving a cyclist and a silver a Toyota.

A young boy who was riding the bike was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and leg. Photos and video of the scene showed an air ambulance landing in a park near to the scene.

The boy has since been discharged from hospital following the crash. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and assisted officers with their enquiries, police said.
