Airport service to Oxford cancelled as apology issued

A bus service running from Gatwick Airport to Oxford has been cancelled "due to unforeseen circumstances".

Oxford Bus Company announced shortly after noon today (Thursday, June 27) that the 12.05pm service from the airport to Oxford was unable to operate.

The bus operator apologised to customers for any disruption caused as a result of the cancellation.

A statement from Oxford Bus Company said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances and disruption on our Gatwick route, the 12.05 service from Gatwick to Oxford will be unable to operate. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The bus company has had a number of cancellations and disruption to its Airline services in recent months.

A spokesman previously said the service remained "a top performer for customers" and that the number of cancellations was not unusual.
