Alabama School Pilots Bullet-Proof Classroom Shelter

The West Elementary School in Cullman, Alabama, is piloting the use of bullet-proof pullout rooms inside classrooms to shelter staff and students during potential shooting scenarios.

Footage from KT Solutions/Turn2Productions shows one of the rooms being folded out into position.

KT Solutions says the Rapid Access Safe Room (RASR) can be deployed in 10 seconds and offers NIJ Level III ballistics protection.
