Alan Chikin Chow, Most-Viewed YouTube Shorts Creator, Signs With CAA
Alan Chikin Chow — the multihypenate creator, actor, writer and producer who’s billed as the world’s most-watched YouTube Shorts creator — has signed with CAA for representation.
Chow is the star and creator of “Alan’s Universe,” a teen comedy series that co-stars Chelsea Sik, Michelle Park and Haven Everly. Chow has more than 46 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, which has averaged more than 1.5 billion views per month — and his most viral YouTube Shorts have amassed nearly half a billion views each. He started out posting videos on TikTok, where he has 14.7 million followers.

In his YouTube bio, he says, “My mission to inspire a universal audience to be a hero. In this life, you choose your legacy; choose to be a hero.” Chow’s global reach and impact have led to brand partnerships with Netflix, Max, McDonald’s, Coachella, Old Spice, CeraVe and more.
In addition to producing YouTube videos, the 27-year-old’s slate of traditional projects includes a production deal with CreatorPlus to executive produce and star in multiple films and TV series. His acting credits include a guest-starring role as Henry on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and a series regular role as Russell Shen in the CBS multicam comedy pilot “The Emperor of Malibu.” He also appeared in ABC’s “Home Economics,” Hulu’s “Into The Dark” and Paramount Pictures’ 2024 musical adaptation of “Mean Girls.”
Born in Dallas, Chow studied business administration and screenwriting at USC. Chow’s philanthropic efforts include close collaboration with Act to Change, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating bullying against Asian American and Pacific Islander youth.
