It comes after a new version of Kentucky’s film and TV tax incentive went into effect last year, meaning that it now offers producers a 30-40% refund on projects filmed in the state.

Wrigley Media Group, which is owned by Misdee Wrigley Miller, has worked on series such as CBS’ Secret Celebrity Renovation and Joe Exotic: Before He Was King. It is also behind Lex Studios, a soon-to-be-completed, state-of-the-art facility that will feature three stages of more than 3,400 sq ft. Wrigley Miller was previously CEO.

Livecchi was formerly a showrunner, who has had overall deals with the likes of Endemol, ITV and Six West Media. He was a former marketing executive who ran creative departments for the Olympics, Friends and The Apprentice.

“Joe brings his proven track record and deep relationships in creative, production, and distribution, on top of his marketing background to the Bluegrass State at the perfect time for Wrigley’s light to shine even brighter,” Wrigley Miller said. “I feel confident with a renewed sense of excitement for what’s to come as I hand the CEO reins over to Joe.”

“We are at a major inflection point in the entertainment business. The rules have changed and a big part of what I hope to do at Wrigley Media Group is to use Kentucky’s incredible entertainment incentive to turn our competitors into co-production partners to serve networks and streaming platforms with affordable premium content,” Livecchi added. “We are the largest film and television studio in Kentucky. Our stages, land, and unique assets position us to serve a production’s scripted and unscripted needs from concept to completion.”
