Aldi is making it easier for customers to get their hands on the supermarket's Too Good To Go bags.

The £3.30 bags offer at least £10 worth of groceries nearing their sell-by or use-by dates. The Surprise Bags are a result of Aldi's partnership with Too Good To Go, the world's largest food platform.

Aldi has announced two changes to their Surprise Bags. The German grocer is extending the collection window of its The Too Good To Go bags, with customers now able secure a bag up to 24 hours before the collection time via the app. Additionally, shoppers are able to purchase a bag on Sundays.

Since the bags launched in February 2023, Aldi customers have saved a whopping £7 million. Aldi reports it has sold upwards of over half a million bags and contributed to an estimated reduction of 1,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

The budget supermarket has also revealed the locations where customers have reaped the most savings, reports Stoke on Trent Live. Glasgow was the top city in Scotland at number five on the list with 5,400 bags purchased.

Birmingham won the spot with approximately 14,000 Surprise Bags snapped up, translating into customer savings of over £270,000. London followed closely with 11,800 bags purchased and savings exceeding £230,000.
