Aldi on best time to get Specialbuys - and other big tips

One of the best parts of shopping in Aldi is seeing what new and interesting products they've got in their famous "middle aisle". This is where they stock Specialbuys that range from heated airers and air fryers to wooden toys and trainers.

They are limited-stock products that are only available in store for a short period, so shoppers need to act quick if they don't want to miss out. No, Aldi's Managing Director of Buying, Julie Ashfield, has shared some insight into the method behind choosing the Specialbuys products - and how you can bag the best deal.

She revealed that Aldi rotates its Specialbuys every Thursday and Sunday, so these are the best days to shop to make sure the middle aisle is fully stocked. But you don't have to wander blindly into your local Aldi without knowing exactly what the week's Specialbuys will be, as there are a few ways you can keep up to date with what's on offer - ensuring you always know when there's something worth buying, reports The Mirror.

Julie said: "To avoid missing out, a top tip is to sign up for the weekly newsletter to be one of the first to hear about new launches and returning best-sellers. Or, why not follow our dedicated Specialbuys Instagram account - @aldispecialbuysuk for a sneak peek into upcoming products?"

The managing director of buying also explained how the company chooses their Specialbuys, as well as what the most popular items are - stating that some of its sell-out products are geared toward parents and children, Wales Online reports.

She added: "We look closely at current and upcoming trends and make them our own, ensuring they're right for our customers. We strive for our ranges to be on-trend while remaining practical, great quality and at a fantastic price point.

"Our best-performing ranges showcase the demand for great value yet high-quality products. Our £5 back-to-school uniform bundle remains popular year after year as parents look for the best deals during what can be an expensive time. Wooden toys also continue to be one of our most popular offerings, with last year's bestseller from the range being the Wooden Toy Kitchen."

When it comes to upcoming Specialbuys, Julie said that gardening fans are going to be in for a treat soon, as they'll have many garden-themed products in store over the next few weeks. This includes an outdoor play range for children, as well as an electric weed killer and some planters.

"Seeing a garden transform is so satisfying, and for those looking to keep their garden in tip-top shape, we have the Electric Weed Killer (£19.99), available in stores from May 2. A must-have for gardeners to save time and energy spent on weeding, easily killing weeds without using gas or harmful chemicals," Julie said.

"Also available from May 2 we have practical and stylish planters including the Stone Effect Planter (£9.99) and Amesbury Planter (£16.99). For homeware fans, our sell-out Milk Frother (£19.99) is coming back to stores from May 9. We know this particular product has a dedicated online following, and with a new Scandi-style design our shoppers will be delighted that they can also pick up a matching Kettle (£19.99) and Toaster (£19.99). Our sell-out 5.5L Air Fryer (£34.99) will also be returning this May along with a 17L Microwave (£49.99)."
