If you took inspiration from Marie Konodo and decluttered your home during lockdown, chances are you'll be needing to give your kitchenware an update.

And luckily for you, Aldi is bringing back its best-selling cast iron cookware range just in time for autumn's stewing season.

The budget-friendly retailer is re-releasing its heavy-duty casserole dish (£24.99), skillet pan (£14.99), and roasting tray (£19.99) all for a fraction of the price of leading brand Le Creuset – so much so, the entire collection will set you back just £88.

It has also extended its range by launching a new shallow casserole dish (£19.99), alongside a must-have set of stoneware mugs, available as a set of two (£3.99) or four espresso cups.

Suitable for use on all heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, the dishes can also be put in the oven in temperatures up to 250C.

The latest iteration of the range will come in two new colourways – plum ombre and matte black – as well as an old favourite, grey ombre.

It's also introducing a colour coordinating selection of wooden and silicone utensils, starting from as little as £1.99, which will really complete the set.

The collection will be available to pre-order online from 6 September and can be found in stores from 10 September.

You'll have to be quick though, last year's range sold out very quickly, and in true "special buy" form once they're gone, they're gone.

If you can't wait until then to get your hands on some new cast iron cookware, here's a round-up of similarly affordable kitchenware you can buy now. It's equally as chic, we promise.

You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections. This revenue helps us to fund journalism across The Independent.

Featuring in our review of the best casserole dishes, our review praised this on its size and quality. It can be transferred from the hob to the oven (up to 240C) before serving to the table. Coated with a tough enamel, this is easy to clean in warm soapy water. Although it is a little more expensive than Adli's alternative (which costs £24.99), it looks far more expensive than it is and is hardwearing, meaning it will stand the test of time.
